A direct google translation from Spanish, for the Kingdom of Valencia.

Spain operates the 3 counties within it's boarders as separate independent Kingdoms just as it was in RL for Aragon, Castile and Valencia. Elected Dukes run the council IG, while the King runs the nobles in RP. As this represents only a single IG county of 10 towns the scope and detail is simplified.

Not exactly.

Spain operates in: two IG nations (Crown of Aragon and Crown of Castille) and 4 IG kingdoms, but in fact, there are 4 RP independents kingdoms:

- Principality of Catalonia.
- Kingdom of Valencia
- Kingdom of Aragon

(three kingdoms belonging to de old Crown of Aragon but living independently... you can think in Scotland: it's the same thing).

- Kingdom of Castille, belonging to the Crown of Castilla and Leon.

All of them have their own Heraldic Chapel. Astaroth_14 is the actual Master of Arms in Castille and Lulu_bathory the one in Valencia. Both are true friends of mine, can put you in contact with them if necessary.

Khani,

Would you be able to explain to me the "Colegio Heráldico Hispano"'s role in all of this? I helped when it was set up by Sir Astaroth, but I always saw it as a supplementary artistic body to the Chapels? Does it still retain that role? And is the OCU simply the other Chapels gathered together? I just want to understand better Smile

And is there a Master of Arms in Catalonia, or Aragon?

Many thanks,

Liam

Hi, Wilb

Apologize for the delay.

Well, let me explain you.

Firstly, the "Colegio Heraldico Hispano" (Hispanic College of Heraldry) was an old Astaroth's idea of having an institution to train new heralds and support the official colleges. Really, it's difficult to find good heralds, and sometimes heralds are not enough actives to accomplish all tasks, but having such College, you're able to find help quickly. Unfortunately, Astaroth was not plenty of time to continue on this (and so do I), so the CHH is now a bit stopped.

In the other hand, the OCU (Organización de Capillas Unidas, United Chapel Organization) is just a forum to discuss heraldic treaties or simply keep in contact one each other. We have foreing heralds from Italy as well, and now we have you there, Liam. A must said, the OCU is under my responsability but... really I'm plenty of work in Castile and can not be everywhere. Sorry, Liam, I don't give you even a welcome there. I hope to start working in the OCU soon, cause we were in touch with italians to find a way to a mutual recognition of CoAs (and so with Valencia).

Finally, Aragon and Catalonia have their own king of arms, they are close to appear in the OCU.
